Fixed

  • Dragging the floating mic on a second monitor now tracks the mouse exactly; it used to lag or run ahead whenever the two displays had different scaling.
  • Let go anywhere: the mic goes to the nearest edge of whichever screen you release it on, instead of jumping back to where it came from.
  • Docked to a side, the Save and Ask buttons are small round beads above and below the mic, evenly spaced.

Fixed

  • Dropdowns are drawn by the app now, not by Windows: paper rows with proper spacing, the current choice in indigo, and rows that stay the same height when a Hindi sample sits next to an English one. Arrow keys, Enter, Escape and type-ahead all work.

  • The app and typwrtr.ing now look like one thing. Paper, ink, indigo and marigold throughout — the floating mic, the memory cards, the share card, the app icon.
  • One typeface for every script. The whole interface is set in Anek, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi and Odia, all from the same family — so a Hinglish or Tamil line never changes size mid-sentence. Fonts still ship inside the app, a third smaller than before.

  • Every new account starts on 14 days of Pro, and the app says so: the Plans tab shows how many days are left, Upgrade stays live so you can keep Pro before it ends, and there is no Cancel button for something you have not bought.
  • Share this under the time-saved number on the Dashboard copies a card to your clipboard. Paste it into WhatsApp, X or LinkedIn.

  • Free is 300 words a day. Pro is unlimited, with a fair-use line at ten hours of audio a month that nobody dictating for themselves will meet.
  • Usage is counted in real minutes. Short clips used to round up to a whole minute each, so a normal day of quick dictations ate far more of the month than it should have.

  • A redesigned app. One typeface throughout (IBM Plex Sans, with Devanagari from the same family, so Hinglish sets in one size and weight), no cards or panels, a calmer sidebar. Everything you had is where it was.
  • A new floating mic. A small pill with a live level meter. Drag it to any screen edge, right-click it to hide it for an hour, and it fades back after five seconds of quiet.

Fixed

  • Polish before pasting and memory extraction had been failing for cloud users since July. Both are back, on a new model, and Hinglish stays in the script you spoke it in.
  • Fonts now ship inside the app. Headings no longer change when you are offline, and the app no longer contacts Google on launch.

  • Push-to-talk is snappier. CapsLock now commits at 300 ms hold instead of 500 ms. Less waiting for the recording to start; you can speak the instant the red arc finishes filling.
  • Your first word stops getting cut off. typwrtr now opens the microphone the moment you press CapsLock, even if you've never recorded today. By the time the press commits, the previous 500 ms of audio is already captured — so the first syllable of your sentence lands in the transcript. Most noticeable on Mac and on Bluetooth headsets, where mics were previously slow to warm up.

  • Voice memory model now ships inside the installer. Fresh installs are fully usable the moment they open — no background download, no progress bar, no first-launch wait.
  • Future updates stay tiny. Auto-update downloads are around 10 MB. The bundled voice memory model stays on your machine across every release.

  • macOS crash on first launch resolved. Some Macs running v0.3.4 crashed while loading the voice memory model because the background download wrote a corrupt file. The new bundled install avoids this entirely; affected users on v0.3.4 should auto-update to v0.3.5 and the issue disappears.

  • Mic indicator no longer stays on the whole time. By default the OS indicator only lights up while you're dictating, plus a short window after for back-to-back utterances. Real win for laptop battery.
  • Much smaller download. The installer is now a few MB instead of nearly 200. The voice-memory model downloads silently in the background on first launch, and stays put across every update after that.
  • Speakers quiet down while you dictate. System audio drops to 5% so background music or notifications don't leak into the mic, then restores on release.
  • Annual plan joins monthly in checkout — pay once, save the difference.
  • Settings copy rewritten to sound less like a changelog and more like a human.
